Hilti Water Pump for Cut-off Saws

A new accessory for some cut-off saws means you'll be able to bring water anywhere you can carry a bucket.

Silica dust management was the big topic at this year’s WOC because of regulations that are about to take effect this spring. Cut-off saws come equipped with hose hookup, but the water source must have its own pressure in order to function properly. So traditionally a garden hose from a pressurized system was the only way to use this feature. Hilti has an accessory coming out soon that will make the saws much more portable. The self-priming add-on pump, shown in the video below, attaches to either the DS700 or DS900 saws. It gets its power from the saw’s motor. Hilti is currently testing various specs with this system (maximum length of the feed line, for example), but expects the pump to be available this coming spring.
