I see this as a conversation between pros, so I can be honest. My dislike of collapsible saw stands is higher than Mount Everest. The arms are never set right, and there’s always a set-screw loose. The wings are never set just right for all the pieces I cut.
I’m probably in the minority, but it is for this reason I have built any number of tables and benches for my miter saw. In fact, I wrote one up for Professional Deck Builder.
The point is, I’d be stoked to see how you guys roll site-made setups. Horses, miter-saw tables, outfeed tables, the works. I’ll also be asking you to post stuff on Facebook and Instagram, like this video from actual genius and Master of the Carpentry-verse Brian Campbell.
