Metabo accounced its new cordless 18V 75 CFM dust extractor at the 2018 World of Concrete. It features manual filter cleaning (and a HEPA filter) and 2 gal capacity. It’s not designed for grinding and concrete cutting applications where heavy amounts of dust is created, but is designed for drilling and general clean up. The extractor has two modes: Boost and Eco. In Eco mode, it will run at about 37.5 CFM (1/2 the max cfm) for twice the runtime on a 7Ah battery – about 32-40 min. The case has enough room to store the hose. In Boost mode you’ll get the full 75 CFM and about 20 min. runtime. It will sell for less than $200 and will be available in April. There will be a trolley available for it as well so you can roll it round the jobsite.
