Mighty Mini. Most cordless impact wrenches have 1/2-inch anvils for large sockets and deliver bolt-snapping torque that can overwhelm smaller tasks. Milwaukee’s pocket-sized 2451-22 is a subcompact version with a 3/8-inch drive for light-duty assembly and fastening jobs. Part of Milwaukee’s M12 12-volt lithium-ion line, it generates up to 1,000 inch-pounds of torque yet weighs only 2.3 pounds, says the manufacturer. Other features include a battery fuel gauge and an LED headlight. It’s sold in a case with two batteries and a charger for $189. Milwaukee, 800/729-3878. www.milwaukeetool.com
