Klein’s recently released J206-8C All-Purpose Pliers are a cross between wire strippers and needle-nose pliers. The nose can be used to grab and loop wire and the knives can cut 8-16 AWG solid and 10-18 AWG stranded wire. These pliers have a hot-riveted joint and induction hardened cutting knives. The jaws are spring-loaded for ease of opening and the handles feature the company’s dual-material Journeyman grips. Softer on the outside than they are on the inside Journeyman handles make for a firm and yet comfortable grip.

The idea for needle-nose plier wire strippers is not completely new; several companies already made them. In terms of design, Milwaukee’s 6in1 Combination Pliers are the closest Klein’s All-Purpose Pliers (comparison below)
