Lichtenberg Figure Burning: Live Stream

For an in-depth look, check this video out.

I’m posting this video to deep-dive into what many of us might not know much about: the social-media- and Internet-breaking Lichtenberg figure burning.

And it’s a companion piece to Contributing Editor Nathan Rinne’s excellent—and 87 minutes shorter—breakdown and tool review of an actual Lichtenberg machine, which you can read here.

The presenter, Carl Jacobson, has a channel on YouTube and 242,000 people are subscribed. It’s called The Woodshop. He’s a turner and makes some amazing things. In this video, he spends the first 15 minutes not being ready and moving the camera, so you may want to skip that part.

Presentation aside, in the 80 or so minutes I listened, he went into more detail on these machines and the process than Nathan did, but if you’ve got time to kill and want to get into this, Carl does have some good tips. Keep the >> close at hand, though.
