2. GLL 55

The GLL 55 is a self-leveling laser that projects vertical, horizontal, and cross-lines that are reported to be visible up to 50 feet. So this laser is good for larger rooms like kitchens, bedrooms, and dining rooms, where accuracy of 1/8 inch over 33 feet would be tolerable. We haven’t yet put our hands on this for a review or read any reviews online, but by comparison it has more features than the GLL 30. It comes with a magnetic mounting bracket, a laser target plate, and carrying case. This level also features manual mode, so you can lock the line and set the level at any desired angle. It’s about 2 inches longer than the GLL 30, but still relatively compact. The pendulum locks, helping to protect it from drops and falls.
