How a 10-Foot Fall Changed One Family’s Life

1 MIN READ

Jason Anker lives in the U.K. and was once a roofer. And then he fell and was paralyzed. And then he lost his house and got divorced. And since that time the accident has exacted a terrible toll on him, his friends, and family.

Jason’s story resonated with me because 20 years ago I fell off an 11-foot retaining wall. I could have broken my neck. I could have been impaled on the brush stumps below. Instead, I tore up my arm, broke five ribs, and had to sleep sitting up for more than a month. All things considered, I got off pretty easy.

There is nothing more to be said about this video except for watch it and then give some thought to your attitude about safety.
