But now, if you’re looking to buy boss right off the truck shelf, MSN Autos says Ford is going tire-to-tire with Dodge’s Power Wagon (best truck name ever, by the way; that’s official) and offering a boss-mobile. Stock.
All I can say is, in the photos this thing looks sick. You might need to tow an oil-refinery behind it, but it looks awesome.
The Tremor package is also targeted at “trail” use, though I’ve never seen an F-250 on a trail nor do I drive on one. It seems like some of these suspension upgrades would be good for hauling or plowing too. Some of the musclebound-ness includes:
Key mechanical changes for the Tremor include a lift kit that raises the front suspension by two inches, a front axle with a limited-slip differential, and a locking rear differential. A set of 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires wrap around 18-inch matte black wheels. The Tremor also has different shocks than those on a standard Super Duty. The front air dam is five inches higher than normal, which helps the truck’s approach angle, and Ford says that the Tremor model can ford water up to 33 inches deep. A new rock-crawl mode operates in low range, and Ford also has an optional Trail Control system that operates like a sort of off-road cruise control.
Pricing isn’t available yet but the package goes on sale at the end of 2019.
