Gunflint Design Makes a Mega Workbench

From 2x4s to a flipping table top, Gunflint gets serious with joinery.

Whenever somebody takes a pile of 2x4s and elevates them to something other than studs and blocking, I’m semi-enamored. Gunflint Designs does that in its intriguing Double Flip-Top Workbench video.

There’s a lot to learn about gluing up and getting pieces and parts square in this video. And though I need a bench I can move and fit on a truck, you folks working out of shops—or looking for projects for the new worker that aren’t mission critical but that might serve to hone their skills a little and help get your shop organized—might find something useful here.

Or if you, like Gunflint and Carpenter Sal (watch his video review of the Ridgid compact table saw here), have a small shop, this design might solve some of the never-ending storage problems small shops pose.
