First, apparently timber framers have been keeping secrets from the rest of us. One of those secrets appears to be this simple, yet deluxe, single-axle skateboard of wood-hauling.
While the timber cart shown here—the Grigg’s Timber Cart—is as ingeniously collapsible as well as it is strong-looking, the basic gist seems to be that this is a shop-made item, as show in the video. Or the O’Hara Mill version pictured here.
For $850, you can have a Grigg’s collapsible beam cart.
If you have $850 to spare, you can buy the Grigg’s. If you can weld and bolt bicycle tires together, you can have something similar for what appears to be a weekend’s worth of hard work and craftsmanship.
