Video: The Drywall Ball?

1 MIN READ

I mix my setting type compound in one type of bucket. It’s a 2-gallon plastic bucket with sharp corners at the bases so my margin trowel can mix the powder with the water and not leave anything behind. I also clean the bucket after each batch, otherwise lumps and rocks get into subsequent batches.

For reasons I cannot fathom, lots of guys just mix in the pan. Maybe it’s because I’m only a B, B + drywall mechanic, but that just seems super inefficient and messy to me.

Anyway, the point is this inventor seems to have made a ball that eliminates the needing to use a margin trowel or a knife to mix up hot mud.

And since I love the passion of inventors, I’m 100% not making fun of this guy. I’ll let his video do the talking. What do you think?
