As we enter the “Can you finish by the 4th of July; I’m having a cookout (!)” season, I’d like to shed a little light on the fact that those of us in the trades have lives too.
And while I get it (I’m doing the same thing; scrambling to call a final on a job that just won’t end while starting the next—all while trying to take time off and away from the phone for the 4th), I also think we as a group should probably at least think about having more fun.
So, this.
For any fan of structural-looking art and science and design that you can also light on fire, the Breeo Zentro Smokeless Fire Pit with—and I am not making this up—”kettle winch” is a thing of backyard beauty.
It ain’t anywhere near cheap. Based on a scan of the Breeo website, the item of awesomeness shown here is made up of several components in Ventro series and looks to be about 2-Gs (pavers, grilled meats, and firewood not included).
If we need to make this about work, tuck this in your design file for your next backyard reboot, deck design, or pool makeover.
It burns real wood, which I like, and is “smokeless,” which isn’t quite “smoke-free” but not having a column of smoke following you around a weekend cookout is pretty nice. Basically, the Breeo units have a chamber in their fire pit that re-combusts the smoke from the original ignition and what you get is very little smoke rising out of the pit.
How do you like your burgers?
