Slick Crosscut Sled

Up your shop game.

I’m a carpenter, for sure.

While even my best friends would argue that point to near death, it’s at least a reasonable facsimile of my craft skills. Twitter version: I build decks, not furniture.

Yet, I know if I had a decent crosscut sled on site, I’d use it. Maybe cutting post caps for a deck or fence (check out EarthDrill here for your next fence or deck project) from 2×8. Or cutting up small parts. I use the miter gauge from time to time, but a crosscut sled would be much safer.

And then there’s that dream of mine of making box joints for something.

Anyway, MicroJig’s ZERO Play rail system looks awesome for making a tight and versatile sled—quickly. Really impressive stuff.
