5. Would you report a contractor who is operating illegally and not following the RRP rule on a job where it is required?

While the remodeling industry prides itself on networking and sharing the how-tos of business success, RRP has left remodelers widely split on issues of fraternity. When asked if they would report contractors not complying with RRP rules, 2% of Reader Panelists said they already have taken that step, while another 20% say they definitely will if the opportunity presents itself, and another 27% are considering reporting a non-compliant competitor. Only 12% of remodelers said definitively that they will not report non-compliance, while 39% remain undecided.
