There are several steps that will help prolong the life of a framing nailer, including always putting a couple of drops of air-nailer oil in the nozzle before connecting the air hose, and draining the compressor after every use to remove moisture from the air tank. But eventually, the nailer will need to be torn down, cleaned and inspected, and the gaskets and seals replaced.
