According to the RRPedia, This recently-proposed amendment to the RRP Rule would require renovators to perform abatement-style dust wipe testing and share the results with home occupants and owners. Affected remodeling projects would be required to achieve strict limits for lead dust levels.
McCadden says EPA has held a comment period and is deliberating on the rule now. Depending on the outcome of this upcoming amendment, remodelers and other contractors may also be subject to additional regulatory restrictions at the state and local levels.
